Personal data is processed in connection with the operation of this website. This is mainly technical  data collected automatically by IT systems, such as internet browser, operating system or the time of  page access. Our services aim at guiding students from making the decision which subject, which  university and which country they want to study in, through the enrollment process, to admission,  and beyond through mentorship. Therefore personal data beyond contact information such as  information on personal interests, motivation and career plans as well as information on school and  academic achievement and other personal skills is processed when using our services.

Information on the individual data concerned, their processing purposes, legal bases and recipients  can be found in the following overview. In summary, the collection of data which is related to the use  of this website serves to ensure the provision of this website free of faults and without disruptions. The collection of data in connection with our services serves to ensure the effective performance of  contracts with our clients. 

2.1. Data Collected while Visiting This Website 

When you visit this website, your internet browser automatically transmits the data listed below. The  following data is therefore collected when you visit the website:

This data is only assigned individually during the usage process and otherwise deleted immediately  once you have left the site, except for statistical evaluations that can no longer be assigned to  individual users.

Our site sets the necessary cookie ‚JwUnsafe‘ which is used in order to save the role of a logged-in  user to identify the website owner. This cookie is automatically deleted after seven days. We also use  the necessary cookie ‚JwStickySession‘, which tracks your session status on page queries. This cookie  is automatically deleted after thirty days.

We use the website analytics tool Plausible Analytics. Plausible Analytics is an open source software. It minimizes data collection in general. Plausible Analytics measures only the most essential data  points and nothing else. It does not track, collect nor store any personal data or personally

Embedded on the website „contact“ is a form for contact through which you can directly send us your  message after filling in your name and e-mail address. This contact form is intended for contacting  the operator of the website by email to clarify questions or to make an appointment. The legal basis  for this processing of personal data in connection with contacting the website operator is, in  accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, the necessity for the implementation of pre-contractual  measures that are carried out at your request as a data subject as well as in accordance with Art. 6  para. 1 lit. f GDPR our overriding legitimate interest in effectively processing your request. 

2.5. Data Processing in Connection with Our Services 

We support and consult students on choosing their study subject and their place of study. We also  assist them during the application procedure. After a successful application we also offer mentoring  services for students studying abroad. In order to provide these services we have to process personal  data. This necessary personal data includes your contact information ((sur-)name, (e-mail) address,  (mobile) phone number).  

In addition, our consulting services require the processing of information on your personal interests,  skills and motivation, career plans and other relevant information in order to help you find your  destination of study. The legal basis for this processing of personal data is, in accordance with Art. 6  para. 1 lit. b GDPR the necessity for the performance of a contract to which you are a party. 

Moreover, our carefree enrollment service require different documents for enrollment and visa  services depending on the university you want to apply to such as curriculum vitae, letter of  motivation, certificates, degrees, test results, references, transcript of records, passport details and  others. The legal basis for this processing of personal data is, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b  GDPR the necessity for the performance of a contract to which you are a party. 

When choosing our mentoring services we might need to process the following personal data:  information on chosen university and subject; study results and other relevant personal  circumstances. The legal basis for this processing of personal data is, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1  lit. b GDPR the necessity for the performance of a contract to which you are a party. 

2.6. direct marketing 

We want to make more out of our existing contacts and might to inform our clients about our other  services. We might use your contact information for this purpose. The legal basis for this processing 

of personal data for the purpose of direct marketing is, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR  our overriding legitimate interest on informing about our services. 

  1. Duration of Data Storage 

Personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed  or if you have withdrawn your consent. 

4 Your Rights as a Data Subject  

4.1 Information  

On request, you can obtain information about all personal data stored about you free of charge at any  time. 

4.2 Correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection  

If you no longer agree to your personal data being stored or if it has become inaccurate, your data  will be erased or blocked or the necessary corrections made at your request (insofar as this is possible  under applicable law). The same applies if data is only to be processed to a limited extent in the  future. You have the right to object the processing of your personal data, in particular, in cases where  your data is required for the performance of a task carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest.  You also have such a right in the case of data processing for the purpose of direct advertising.

Upon request, we will  provide you with your personal data in a commonly used, structured and machine-readable format so  that you can transmit the data to another controller upon request.
